Daniel Pescio is an award-winning perfumer based in Paris, who has created fragrances for both his own brand and also niche perfume houses. Born in Brazil, he graduated from ISIPCA, the world-famous school of perfumery based in Versailles, and since then has worked worldwide especially in France, Brazil and Japan, focused on fragrance creation and perfume training. In 2016, after discovering the art of listening to perfume in the Kōdō ceremony at the Shino-ryū school in Japan, he began creating sensory-olfactory artworks: perfumes meant to be consumed. Daniel’s creations explore synesthesia and the ephemeral nature of scents.

Chameleon
The perfume took the Chameleon, with its synaesthesia-like skin, as the starting point. I wanted to mirror its environment through the idea of those shifting colours, while also conjuring the fact that chameleons also lose those reflections of nature when they become white.

[Perfume Creation]
Fleur Cannibale
This perfume was created for a 2016 and participated for the New York competition organised by the American Society of Perfumers. Among 100 perfumes, Fleur Cannibale was in the finals.
“Fleur Cannibale is a contrasting fragrance, inspired by abstract flowers and orchids from Amazonia, creamy peach, spices, sandalwood, amber, musks, vanilla and frankincense.”

[Perfume Creation]
Effluves de Jasmins at Magnolias
Created for the III International Perfumery Competition - Mouillette d’Argent in Spain in 2019, this perfume went on to win that year, and has been released in a limited edition. It focuses on the key florals of early spring, including complex citrus sparkle notes, soft woods and musk.
“Effluves de Jasmins et Magnolias is a combination of fresh floral and Magnolia and Jasmine notes that transport you to the mythical San Francisco’s avenues of magnolia trees and wild jasmine sunny gardens during early spring."
The perfume is crafted by Daniel Pescio’s lab in Paris.
